We enjoyed the book. It was a challenging read because of the characters and the subjects covered. Graphic descriptions were hard hitting although realistic.

A thought provoking soap opera. We enjoyed the range of characters and difficult issues explored with sensitivity. An accurate portrayal of village life and its microcosm of society.
