We’re here to fill your half term with fun this February, never fear boredom when you’re a Hampshire Library member. Even better, while the younger ones are taking part in some of the more energetic activities, you’ll be surrounded by book heaven!
Here’s a flavour of what we have going on around Hampshire for half term, your only problem now is fitting them all in!
Pirates & Princesses Crafts at Fordingbridge Library
13-20 Feb, during opening hours (Free).
Come along to Fordingbridge Library this half term and get involved in our fun craft drop-in session, make a pirate ship or a castle for a princess. No need to book just turn up and get creative!
Hearts & Flowers at Eastleigh Library

Our crafts are made with love this half term! Make heart filled flowers and cards for the special people in your life! Free drop in sessions, no need to book.
Charlie’s Storytelling Parties at Basingstoke Discovery Centre
Monday 15 Feb, 11.30am – £3 (adults go FREE)
Join children’s entertainer and actress Charlie Sanderson for a super interactive 45 minutes storytelling party including singing, a giant parachute, bubbles and more. Spaces are very limited and advance booking is essential!
Dog Safety Talk at Fareham Library
Monday 15 Feb, 1pm (Free)
Fun for Kids at Dogs Trust! Join us for a dog safety talk, followed by animal crafts. There will be a special visit from Molly the Cocker Spaniel. Woof! Woof! Free tickets are available from the Library.
Robot & Rockets Craft at Fareham Library
Tuesday 16 Feb, 10am-12pm (Free)
Come along to Fareham Library for a Robots and Rockets craft session. There is no need to book, just drop in!
CSI Kids at Basingstoke Discovery Centre
Wednesday 17 Feb, 11am- £10 (adults go FREE)
Investigate a crime scene at Basingstoke Discovery Centre. Under the guidance of CID staff children work their way through a series of clues using the same forensic techniques as real detectives to solve the crime, including dusting for fingerprints. All children receive a CSI kit to take home for further crime detection work. If you are interested in coming to this event then please be sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
We’re going on a bear hunt at Totton Library

We’re going on a bear hunt inspired storytime and craft session at Totton library for the inner grizzly’s! Places are free but need to be booked in advance.
Monkey Craft Sessions at Chandlers Ford Library

Help us celebrate the start of the Chinese New Year, the year of the monkey, with this fun craft session for your little monkeys! Free drop in sessions, no need to book.
Doggy Tales at Portchester Library

Come and meet SJ and her waggy-tailed friends from The Dogs Trust. Listen to a story, find out what dogs need to be happy and healthy and how to stay safe around them then make something to take home. Ask for your free ticket in the library today!
Under the sea at Hythe Library

Drop in to Hythe Library between 10am and 12 noon for “Under the Sea” inspired crafts and activities. There is no need to book in advance.
