A splendidly gentle compelling read, full of compassion, morality and warmth. Mme Ramotswe deals with problems in a very modern psychological manner. A good insight into Botswana.

Strongly mixed reviews – some loved it , others found it boring, slow with no real story. some thought it was written in a childish way. However some said it was true to life in Botswana and rich in character.

A gentle ramble through Botswana where good always triumphs over evil. If you’ve seen the TV series you will know the characters but the book takes you into their world. A feel good novel to turn to when you need to restore your faith in human nature. The mere sight of the cover restores your spirit.
