Relaxing with Hampshire libraries

As part of stress awareness month we wanted to share some different relaxing events going on across Hampshire libraries. Make sure to have a look on our website at all the other events that could help you, or someone you know to relax and de-stress!

Clay Workshop , 8 April at Yately library

This course aims to provide something for everyone. For the beginner who wants to learn about the basics of working with clay or for the more experienced ones who want the chance to experiment and wish to receive constructive criticism. It is also a workshop focused to motivate creative using different resources. We will use many different references from contemporary & past artists and other cultures. From 10-1pm, costing at £15 per ticket.

Hooked on crochet? 10 April at Lee on the Solent library

Come along and learn new skills, develop existing, beginners to well practised, all welcome. Meeting alternate Mondays from 10 am to 12 noon, just drop in it’s free! For further information please contact the library.

Creative colouring for adults, 17 April at Basingstoke Discovery Centre

Come along at 2pm to this free session and calm the mind, bring out your creative side and share the fun! All in the comfort of the Coffee Shop area, materials provided or bring your own.

Poetry club, 19 April at Petersfield library

Come along to this friendly group which is open to anyone who would like to share their enjoyment of poetry with others. We meet once a month on a Wednesday from 2pm to 3pm and it is completely free!

Let’s get moving, 24 April at Stubbington library

Gentle chair based exercises for fun and fitness. Improve strength, mobility and flexibility. No need to book, just come along, £2 per session from 12pm – 12.30pm.
