If you care for a relative, partner or friend, Hampshire Libraries have a wide range of services that can help both you and the person you care for:

If you can’t get to the library due to ill-health, disability or caring responsibilities the library can come to you. We can arrange for you to have your library books delivered to your home on a regular basis.

If you are unable to visit the library yourself this scheme will allow a nominated person to be responsible for your book loans and returns

Library staff can assist your nominated person in choosing books for you.

Free hire of library items for anyone who is unable to read standard print

A free membership scheme that provides library items for groups of people to enjoy e.g. care homes, sheltered accommodation, playgroups

Free membership available to individuals who provide care to others eg registered child minders, foster carers

Create symbol-based displays to support people with communication or memory impairment
