The programme is really starting to come together at the 2 Makery sites, with a combination of open sessions and tutor-led sessions on a range of technical skills and equipment use.

The Makery is a flexible digital space which has been equipped with high specification equipment. The Makery was created for technical enthusiasts and amateurs alike to learn and develop new skills and experiment with creative digital concepts in a collaborative style using: Apple iMacs running Sketch Up Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud, Apple iPads, Lego EV3 Robotics, Raspberry Pi and Crumble kits for explore coding, electronics and the world of micro computers, 3D printing, and more! Open Sessions
The Fareham Makery has two and half hour, open access sessions available to members free, or for £10 per session. These sessions are available to those aged 14 and over.
- Tue and Wed: 2:00pm – 4:30pm
- Thu: 1:30pm – 4:00pm
- Fri: 9:30am – 12noon, 1:00pm – 3:30pm & 4:00pm – 6:30pm
- Sat: 2:00pm – 4:30pm
Open access sessions at the Fleet Makery are available to members free, or for £12 a session and are available to those aged 14 and over.

After School Makery Club
Suitable for ages 8 to 13
£8 per session
Mondays 4:30pm – 6:30pm and Thursdays 4:30pm – 6:30pm
Taster sessions to spark you interest in a different topic each week. Write a programme on our Raspberry Pis, teach a Lego robot to beat a challenge or learn about another world with our VR rig.
Adult Digital Session
Suitable for ages 21+
£8 per session
Mondays 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Get started on a new hobby. Introductions to a different topic each week. Learn more about 3D design tools, photo editing or coding with a practical application.
Parent and Child Creative Session
Suitable for ages 8-13
£14 for child and accompanying adult
Saturdays, 9:30am – 1:00pm
A great chance to explore a digital world for you and your child. Together you can design and build a gadget with our Crumble kits or make your own animated story. Giving you an insight into your child’s digital world.
As part of the Makery pilot, we have encouraged feedback from our customers who kindly suggested a Home Education Session. We have developed the Fareham Makery Home Education Sessions, the next four-week program is starting on Tuesday 14th November. Each class can be attended separately or as blocks of four:
Home Education Sessions
£7.50 per session for child, £22.50 for 4 sessions (1 per week)
Tuesdays 9:30am – 11:00am or 11:30am – 1:00pm
Structured sessions each week featuring Lego Robotics, Coding using Scratch and Python on our Raspberry Pi micro Computers, and Crumble electronics kits – coding with physical components.

Wednesday and Thursday mornings, 9:30am – 1:00pm
An opportunity for groups, clubs, businesses and schools to visit the facility and use a range of Makery equipment and resources. Whether you’re looking for a creative and educational trip, or an innovative and digital space perfect for hosting workshops, meetings and gatherings, The Makery can be tailored for you.
