Saturday 20 October
Signor Baffo’s Restaurant at Gosport Discover Centre
Cost: £2 per child Time:11am and 2 pm (running time is 45 minutes)
There is chaos in the kitchen when Signor Baffo opens the doors to his restaurant in this riotous, messy interactive show for children ages 3+.
Uniform day at Eastleigh Library
Cost: Free Time:11am
Why not join us this Half Term and earn your Brownies Booklovers Badge or Cubs Book Readers Badge?! Come wearing your uniform and obtain a free gift! Author Nick Newberry will be opening the event with a book reading and Q&A session.

Comic book drawing at Basingstoke Discover Centre
Cost: £5.00 Time:1.30pm
A children’s workshop with local artist and teacher, Russell Bignold. Back by popular demand, Russell will continue to design and develop your comic book character, focusing on action poses and clothing in this 90 minute drawing workshop. He will also look at colouring alternatives.
23 October
Bones, bugs and body bits at Totton Library
Cost: £4.00 Time:10.30am-11.30am
A spooky themed workshop with loads of hands-on activities exploring bones, skulls, fossil folklore and insects with spooky names. Handle real animal skulls, put together a life-sized replica human skeleton and use a microscope to look at creepy crawlies close up. Not suitable for under 3 due to small parts.
Bluebird the storyteller presents: TisTou – the boy with green thumbs at Waterlooville Library
Cost:£4.00 Time:10.30am
Local storyteller Bluebird tells her version of Tistou the Boy with Green Thumbs based on the 1965 book by Maurice Duron. A delightful story that questions adult’s readymade ideas through the eyes of an 8 year old boy. Tistou discovers he has an unusual gift which can be used to lighten the lives of others and even avert a war. This is a delightful story suitable for children 7+ and adults alike.
New Forest Ranger activity at New Milton Library

Come along to this fun interactive session and meet a member of the New Forest National Park Ranger Team, who will tell you all about the wildlife and livestock in the New Forest.
Quirks animal roadshow at Basingstoke Discovery Centre
Cost: £5.00 Time:2pm-3pm
Come along to meet some quirky animals from around the world at the Quirks’ Animal Roadshow workshop. You’ll have the opportunity to stroke and hold the animals as well as discovering lots of interesting facts about where they come from, what they eat and what makes them unique. For ages 4 and above.

WW1 workshop (parent and child) at Eastleigh Library

Come along for the chance to pick up some facts about aviation during the war and create your own inspired papier mache aeroplane model to decorate and take home.

Get ready for Halloween with this fun and creative 90 minute sewing and textiles workshop. Bring along a T-shirt or similar garment and dress it up for Halloween. Scrap material and embellishments provided, although you are welcome to bring along your own.

Nick Cope Family Concert at Winchester Discovery Centre

Nick is a professional singer and songwriter, and has over 20 years of experience in music, including international success as lead singer and songwriter with The Candyskins in the 1990s.
