With the holiday season upon us, it’s time to make a special trip to the library and stock up on books so not to find oneself without a book over the festive season!

During Christmas, New Years and the days in-between, there are special opening hours at our libraries and discovery centres. To make sure you don’t make a wasted trip, check the website or speak to a member of staff at the library for their opening hours.

All books, audiobooks and magazines will be due on a day the library you borrowed them from is open. You will therefore not have any books due on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day.
If you’re traveling or might not be able to make it in during the temporary reduced holiday hours, speak to a member of staff who can give you a holiday extension on your loan.

Don’t forget that our eLibrary of eMagazines, eComics, eBooks and eAudiobooks are open 24/7 all year around and you will be able to browse and borrow items throughout the festive season.
If you haven’t already registered with BorrowBox – our new eBook and eAudiobook provider, you will need your pin. If you don’t remember your pin, staff at your local library will be able to reset the pin for you.
