The book was considered by most as a page turner, well written, easy to read but easily fogotten. All mentioned the similarities to “We need to talk about Kevin”. The bullying, reflections on life for young people (especially those who don’t fit in), the lack of understanding and compassion by those who should have been supportive, gun culture in the USA and peer group pressure were all discussed.
